Color, Emotion and Illusion Animation: The Art and Science of Visual Perception

There is more to our world than what meets the eye. The Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art (RIMOSA) is offering new programs that encourage participants to dig deeper, discovering hidden worlds beneath the surface of our everyday experience. Explore worlds too small to see, the surprising nature of light and sound, and the visual effects of animation that allow us to create elaborate illusions of life and motion.

This program is suitable for grades 5 & up.

A telescope will be set up to view the moon, star clusters and Jupiter and Saturn. With luck we might even see the International Space Station. We’ll learn how to use star charts, which will be distributed.  Photos of constellations and meteorites will be there for viewing.

Please register for this program and bring insect spray.
