This group of accomplished knitters will inspire you to pick up your needles again. Adults interested in learning to knit or wishing to pick up wool again are welcome to stop in.  Call the library at 397-7930 for more information. Books and magazines on knitting techniques and patterns are available at each library for checkout.

* Afterschool: MinecraftAfterschool: Minecraft

Time: 3:30 pm

Minecraft will be offered the first and third Thursday of each month. Various maker space activities, crafts, Chess Club, Lego Club, movies and special guests will be ongoing. Check our schedule of activities each week! Transportation will be provided from CIP on Bus 5 with a note from parent. Registration is required for each week. Please call Foster Public or stop in to register your child; 397-4801. Contact Lori at 397-7930 or 397-4801 with any questions.

* Designing in StoneDesigning in Stone

Time: 6:00 pm

A presentation by artist and stone carver, Tracy Mahaffey Creating sculpture and memorials from stone is a process and each artful rendering from stone has a unique story. The slideshow presentation and demonstration will describe the creative process from sketch, to clay model, to lettering and carving.

Join us as we provide an interactive program especially for your baby, infant to 18 months. This program is a casual play group for socialization for 30 minutes each Friday. Call Lori for more information at 397-7930.

* TGIFTGIF

Time: 6:00 pm

Friday TGIF Teen Nights are about free movies, games, and technology exploration for patrons ages 13 to 19. Look for new programming each month. Your ideas and suggestions are always welcome. Light refreshments provided. This program is generously supported by CAST.

Time: 12:00 pm

All are welcome to join this sewing group to refresh sewing skills or start a new project as a beginner. Group members are finishing up a special project from October, a shoulder bag. Pre-register to reserve a sewing machine by calling either library at 397-7930 or 397-4801.

* Art JournalingArt Journaling

Time: 6:00 pm

Sometimes called “altered books,” art journaling is a creative re-use of an older, discarded book.  With guidance from a local artist, we glue, paste, design and create extraordinary and original art journals.  A three dollar contribution towards supplies is appreciated.

The cooking theme this month is Squash Yes, there are cookbooks just on cooking with pumpkins and squash. Let us help you find the perfect recipe. Call the libraries for cookbook suggestions, 397-7930 or 397-4801. Each cook brings a small sample of their favorite recipe to share with the group.

At the Moosup Valley Grange Learn about owls and raptors during this fascinating program. Get a close up experience to see these beautiful birds. All ages welcome!

These handmade cards are fun and easy to make and a pleasure to give away. No experience necessary; supplies provided. Enjoy a creative moment with friends at these popular classes.
