The Libraries of Foster
Displays and Exhibits Policy
The Foster Public Library and the Tyler Free Library welcome exhibits and displays of interest to the general community. Displays of handiwork, historical materials, and local information may be exhibited based on available space in the buildings. All exhibit ideas should be presented to the library director for consideration. The director will accept or reject materials offered for display based on space and suitability. The library will not sell items for any organization or business without approval of the library board.
Items to be hung on the bulletin board should be handed in at the circulation desk for staff to hang. Acceptable items include information from local organizations and government, notices of programs and events, and flyers for local small businesses. Library staff may remove materials after the event has passed or 30 days, whichever comes first.
All items are placed in the libraries at the owner’s risk. The library assumes no responsibility for the preservation or protection, and no liability for possible damage or theft of any item displayed.
